Occupational Therapy
At Cedar Lake Village’s Hoeger House, occupational therapists help individuals re-learn their activities of daily living. Our therapists teach guests how to best complete tasks using proper techniques and therapy equipment. Located on the campus of the Olathe Medical Center, patients learn exercises to strengthen muscles and improve coordination.
Our therapists provide a comprehensive evaluation in order to achieve the highest functional level for each patient. We provide a progressive, proactive and multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation through:
- Activities of daily living––bathing, dressing, etc.
- Home safety evaluation
- Upper extremity, fine motor and therapeutic exercise programs
- Hand therapy
- Medication set up
- Energy conservation
- Seating and positioning
- Contracture management––splinting
- Community re-entry
